Macadamia nuts are cold pressed and become a colorless, rather oily oil that is rich in omega 9 and palmitic acid. The skin's own production of palmitic acid decreases the older we get and this in turn causes us to become drier. The oil has a lot of good properties, it protects against weather and wind, retains moisture while it is absorbed quite slowly by the skin. We have added this ingredient to give a good balance in the moisturizing properties of our skin care products!
