Arganoil
(Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil)
Argan oil is extracted from the fruits of
the argan tree, which
contains seeds
that are cold-pressed and becomes something of
a miracle oil
for skin and hair. The oil is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants and essential fatty
acids. It also has a documented ability to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The oil penetrates easily
into the skin without leaving an oily
feeling. It is extremely thin
and thus suitable for the sensitive area around the eyes.
If you roast
the seeds before
pressing, the oil is used in cooking and can then
have health-promoting effects, for example on blood
fats. The oil itself
is basically completely odorless.
Argan trees that produce nuts
grow mainly in Morocco. The tree plays
a major role in maintaining the balance of
nature and is an important economic part for the local population.
Since the mid-1990s the main part of the production take place
in women's cooperatives, that both produce and sell
the oil. Our oil is produced by the women's cooperative located in the southern regions of Morocco.
